Rules of the game β summary
Everything you need to play your first game. Click a section to expand the details.
1. Game goal and victory
You earn Victory Points (VP) by destroying your opponent's Places and raiding their Leader. Killed Warriors and destroyed Intrigues do not grant VP.
| Mode | Threshold |
|---|---|
| Standard 1 vs 1 game | 50 VP |
| Simplified mode | 30 VP |
| Team game | 75 VP |
2. Zones of your Realm
Settlement β the Leader and Places. Borderlands β Warriors on defense. Strike Force β Warriors for attack/raiding. Gold Reserve, Deck, discard pile (face down) and annihilated pile (removed for good).
3. Resources: Gold, Food, Resources, Fuel
Blue icons = the card provides. Red icons = the card consumes. Only Gold can be stored between turns β everything else unused is lost. If you can't pay a red-icon cost, the card must be discarded (unless you pay extra in Gold: 1 for a missing Gold icon, 2 for any other resource).
4. Combat tactics: Land, Sea, Air
Soldier (Land), Sailor (Sea), Pilot (Air). The attacker must use a Tactic shared with the defender. More Tactic icons on a Warrior = more dangerous in attack; on a Leader/Place = more vulnerable to raids.
5. Card types
Leader β represents the player, indestructible. Place β a building in your Settlement, grants VP when destroyed. Warrior β Infantry / Cavalry / Vehicle, for defense, attack, and raiding. Intrigue β equipment, rituals, prophecies, and other special effects.
